It is very true about first time buyer expectations of a home.
That is why it is very important to get pre-approved for your loan before shopping. You need to know what you can realistically afford and not look at anything out of that price range or nothing will be good enough when you start looking at your actual possibilities.
If there is a first time home buyer class in your area TAKE IT. It may take a couple nights from your life but the information is totally worth it and there are other perks, like in Montana if you qualify for the first time home buyer grant you need that class to get it anyway.
Buying a home is major mula so take your time , get prepared and find a good Realtor to work as your buyers agent!
If you need a referral to a good Realtor I can help.
